What is the Hollywood Laser Peel® or the Black Diamond Laser Treatment™?
These carbon-based laser peels go by a variety of names including but not limited to: The Black Diamond Laser Treatment™, Hollywood Laser Peel®, the Carbon Laser Peel and/or the ‘China Doll Peel’ (named for its porcelain doll-like finish to the skin) is an innovative laser resurfacing treatment that utilizes focused light beams to treat skin imperfections.

How Does the Treatment Work?
In this treatment, the skin is double cleansed, and a medical-grade Carbon lotion is applied which penetrates the pores. Your esthetician will apply a thin layer of medical carbon cream to the skin’s surface. The carbon particles actively absorb laser light gently removes the carbon cream, along with damaged cells found in the upper layers of the skin. The laser gently heats the carbon, killing all the bacteria in the pores, stimulating collagen production and closing the pores. A fan keeps the skin cool and any smells minimized. The simultaneous generation of thermal energy stimulates the synthesis of fresh collagen and the promotion of a healthy-looking complexion. Skin structure is visibly strengthened and even opened pores purified and cleared.

What Does The Carbon Laser Treatment Treat?
Ideal for uneven skin tone, congested skin and pigmentation which can develop for a number of different reasons including, sun damage, inflammation, hormonal changes, acne and reaction to some medications. The Carbon Laser Peel is the latest innovation to deliver long-lasting results.
Can the Carbon Laser Peel Treatment remove blackheads?
The Laser peel process will also minimize the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, and pigmentations. Removes blackheads. The pores are also tightened, and blackheads will be removed, improving overall skin condition.
How often can I do carbon laser peel?
Three to five treatments over a period of 2 to 3 months with a booster treatment every six months is recommended for the best results. There is little to no time needed for recovery after the treatment. In some rare instances itching, flaking and rashes might develop; most usually resolves in a few days.
Is laser better than chemical peel?
While a chemical peel may lessen fine lines and rough skin, the treatment won’t do as much good with deep wrinkles or sagging skin. Lasers tackle skin conditions ranging from sun damage to brown spots or scarring.
Post Treatment?
There is no downtime following a Lutromic Spectra™ Treatment with results appearing even following one session. A course of treatments are recommended depending on your skin condition and desired results.
How often and how many Lutromic Spectra™ Treatments do I need?
With our lasers we recommend spacing out treatments between 2-3 weeks, this time-frame allows regeneration of collagen and elastin of skin tissue.
Effectiveness of the treatment is ultimately determined based on your individual skin age and condition, however, a course of 2-6 treatments will produce superior results. Maintenance treatments after your initial course are recommended every 1-3-6 months.
Are there potential side effects?
Side effects are minimal with slight redness and tingling a few hours post treatment reported in some cases. Temporary hair removal to the treated area can occur if you have dark facial hair and some individuals may experience mild outbreak the week following the treatment as skin rebalanced after having bacteria removed.
Does it hurt?
There is no pain with the treatment. During the procedure, you may experience slight tingling and warmth on the skin, which is normal while the laser zaps away the thin layer of Carbon. Some report it may feel like a small rubber band snap as carbon is ablated from the skin.
