How does microneedling work?

Basically, the treatment of microneedling is based on skin’s ability to repair itself when there is an occurrence of any physical damage like cuts, scratch or burns.

Simply put, microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for the purposes of rejuvenation. Microneedling treatment involves the use of microneedling machines like a Dermapen to pierce the tiny holes in a specific pattern on the area being treated, your body will then respond by sending collagen and elastin to heal the area where treatment is carried out.

The collagen and elastin that are produced by creating the tiny wounds will not only heal the damaged area, but the surrounding areas, ultimately smothering the scars, reducing the fine line and wrinkles and making the skin plumper and younger looking.

Apart from this, the other benefit is that if any topical cream or serum is applied to the skin after the microneedling, it will be more effective as it will be absorbed by the deeper layers of the skin.
